B. Mulford Historic Carpentry Ltd specialises in the repair, restoration and conservation of traditional historic timber framed buildings, usually originally built of oak or elm. Based around the sound conservation philosophy of maximum retention of the original and minimal intervention, from a fractured corner post or rotten cill, to the restoration of a complete frame.

Condition surveys, repair schedules and drawings for listed building consent and listed building consent applications are also a speciality.

B Mulford Historic Carpentry Ltd is based in Gloucestershire and covers the three counties of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire. Most of the companies' work is on listed buildings and as a result liaise with architects, engineers and local authority conservation officers on behalf of clients' as required.

B. Mulford Historic Carpentry Ltd. Is run by Barry Mulford. Who has a BSc(hons) degree in Heritage Conservation (The Conservation of Historic Buildings), 20 years of hands-on building conservation experience and has been studying timber framed buildings for 25 years. He has trained with and worked with some of the most respected conservation companies in the UK, including McCurdy and Co. and St. Blaise
